We believe that God is God alone. That he is eternal, holy,
omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent. That God is the Father, the Son
(the Word), and the Holy Spirit, each being complete in deity, yet not
divided in nature. We affirm the historic doctrine of the Trinity.
We believe that the Bible, the sixty-six books contained in the Old and New Testaments, is the authoritative and final revelation of God to man. We believe that the original manuscripts were inspired by God in a plenary-verbal manner and that in God’s providence have been faithfully preserved and transmitted to us today. We believe that the Bible and the Bible alone are Holy Scriptures of God; and alone are the rule for faith and practice.
We believe that God created the world from nothing, (ex nihilo); that he alone is the creation’s lord. That he created all things good, created man in his own image, created man sinless and in full fellowship with him. We further believe that man of his own desire sinned. In that sin the creation was cursed, man’s fellowship with God was broken, and death entered creation.
We believe that because of the sin of Adam all men are born in iniquity and justly deserving of eternal punishment and that punishment is a literal hell.
We believe that from eternity past God decreed that atonement for the sin of his own would be made in the death of the Son of God as a propitiatory sacrifice. We further believe that man is saved by grace through faith in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, that the gift of salvation is given to man apart from any work or predisposition of man: salvation is a free gift of God.
We believe that Jesus was raised from the dead on the first day of the week following his crucifixion to never die again, that he ascended to the right hand of his Father in Heaven and there intercedes for the elect until the day when he returns to earth to judge all men. We believe that Jesus Christ will return in bodily form to judge all men: those redeemed by his grace will be forever with him, those who are not redeemed will spend eternity in hell.
